Vlad received a blow of arcane energy to his already badly burned back, drawing blood. Vlad moaned at the pain then bared his fangs and dashed towards Ahri, sinking his teeth into the fox's neck. He licked his lips then quickly turned into a pool of blood. The skies turned red while the vampire turned to mist "Where am I? I could be anywhere! Be afraid, be afraid like the coward you are! " Vlad said, trying to intimidate the fox. From the blow to the back then to turning into a pool, vlad was greatly weakened. He however was not weakened enough to stop him, he'd soon be able to show his true power. Something that was very dangerous, not only to the enemy but to himself as well. Vlad had to wait it out though, it just had to be the final blow. He could not risk his life to pull something that dangerous off right now.

Ahri wavered for just a second. Her eyes flashed in a bit of fear...but slowly, that receded. She held her neck, amber eyes annoyed for a second. "That's going to get realy old if I manage to survive this." she mumbled. Not only did it hurt, but she was weakened now as well. Fire swirled around her as she glanced around, looking for her predetor...or was it prey? She wasn't entirely sure. "Cut the vanishing act and show your face, coward!" she roared, ears flat against her head. When he came out, should she use the inferno? Or perhaps, the most dangerous thing of all; fury, which would put her right in front of him doing a whole lot of damage, but flee-time would be too long and she'd end up being attacked as well. She pondered this, scowling. He was doing what she always did, and that annoyed her.
"Here vampy vampy vampy..." Ahri snarled, pacing again. She seemed to do that a lot, like a confused puppy but like a stalking tiger at the same time. She flicked her tail once again, teeth bared. "I don't got all night..." she muttered, amber eyes glowing like fire. She didn't like surprise attacks; that was her specialty, and when it was used against her, it frightened her and confused her. No matter... he'd learn not to play with fire.

Vlad was deciding on his next move, he couldn't stay as a pool forever! But he really wished he could. Vlad just decided on a quick attack, he swept past Ahri, sucking the blood out of her arm this time, but just for a split second. An attack like that couldn't weaken anything, it just really hurt. It possibly could have paralyzed her arm for a while, and maybe that'd buy him some time. Vlad just stood there after that, breathing heavily. "Hehehehe, do you like that? That was nothing compared to what's going to happen to you after this fi..." Vlad interrupted himself with a though, why was he doing this? Emotions from his childhood started to flood his mind, he didn't want to fight. He wanted to come to a point of understanding, that would have been easier though if he didn't start this fight. At this moment it was either fight or die, maybe Vlad has to fight enough to the point where he'd make her listen.

Ahri yipped like a fox, and glared at her arm. The bite was clear, two puncture wounds that bled just a little. "Hmm? What's gonna happen? I'm not afraid of you as much as you'd love me to be. You look a little... tired..." she said with mock concern. With a fox-like grin, Ahri vanished and reappeared behind him. Her mana was now very low, and she had a limited use. She was saving it all for her last fatal move, but now she could at least try to do some damage until he was weak enough. Better safe than sorry, wasting it now was pointless.
She shifted to a fox momentarily and sliced at his back, trying to give him scratch wounds on top of those burns. Unlike Vlad, Ahri had no intention of talking or making a compromise. She was simply a force of chaos, an uncontrollable beast that was intent on killing her attacker. Whether he was prey or not was regardless; it was important not to become his prey. She shifted back to himan form, circling him in a wide radius, giving enough space for herself to be able to leap out of the way if he tried anything. Her eyes reflected exhaustion; that bit she could not hide. Her emotionless state was breaking as well; despite her apathetic voice or expression, it was clear that she was in pain. Her fiery eyes sparkled warily as she waited for his next move.

Vlad moaned from the pain of the scratch. "Are you going to going to keep attacking from behind me to the point where you can see my spine?" Vlad said annoyed. He fell to his knees before regaining his strength, but he didn't get up. He would play this off, or at least try. He stayed down for a while until it seemed like he gave up, and within a blink of an eye drew blood from the fox's leg. He was planning on paralyzing all of her limbs, so she couldn't do anything and was forced to listen to what Vlad had to say. Vlad was still greatly weakened, but has enough strength left in him to paralyze the fox, but just how many different surprise attacks are there? This will require some thought. Vlad could still feel the overwhelming power within him, ready to release. He would have to wait for the right time, and make sure that everything is timed perfectly. Vlad knew that if this plan didn't work, then it would cost him his life. The vampire got into a fighting stance, waiting for the fox's next move.

Ahri watched as she assumed Vlad had been defeated. She tilted her head at his comment, daring to dart closer. "If that's what it takes..." she mumbled. Suddenly, she fell to her knees; the attack on her leg had been of pure surprise. She hadn't expected that, and had let her guard down in the assumption that the battle was over. That critical hit could have cost her the battle; in order to use her swiftness and agility, she needed to be able to run.
The kitsune refused to let the problem show. She flattened her ears and looked up at him, casting foxfire. White flames danced around her weakly, it was all she could do for defense. Baring her teeth, she watched him now more closely than ever. If he darted in again, maybe she could land a strike with her claws. Her mana was low due to her recent cast, and she could no longer use her finishing move due to her paralyzed leg.

A Human lightly armed moved through the night like a lion stalks its prey. He were on a mission, eliminate a group of shifters and pin the blame on vampires. It was easy, he had silenced weapons, could see in the dark but couldn't be seen.
He stalked throught the trees and came across a large circle of shifters with a vampire in the middle. "Perfect". He said under his breath, aiming his silenced assault rifle at them. All of a sudden, the shifter's all broke formation and ran off in different directions. He aimed, and shot. He killed 1 or 2 stragglers, but they were fast, most were gone before he could even try.
He moved closer and noticed there was another two still where the circle was. A shifter and a Vampire. Easy... He aimed at the shifter first, he shot, but she had moved and he had only managed to hit her tail. "Damn!" He said to himself, now they were alerted to his presence and could probably tell wich direction.

Ahri, who was paralyzed by Vlad, managed to turn her head and glare at the human. "What the hell?!" she snarled. She stood up on one leg and leapt toward the human, forgetting about Vlad(not the best of ideas but hey, she was angry). Her tail was bleeding now, so she was in even more pain. The seering pain made her see white, and she couldn't complete her leap and managed to topple face first into the ground. With a whimper, she turned, flat on her back now, blinking. "Ow..." she muttered.

Vlad saw what was happening, he saw Ahri dash away from him. The vampire flinched when she dashed, thinking it was towards him. He looked over and saw her lunging towards a human, something very rare in the darkwoods. Human blood was a delicacy in bloodfire, and he was not going to let that opportunity slip to try some of it. His first concern was Ahri though, he didn't want anything to interfere with what he needs to say to the fox. With a swift leap, he lifted Ahri up off of the ground and moved her into a cave not far from the battle. Vlad then swept back to the clearing and turned into a pool. He waited, then heard the flow of human blood through it's veins. "There you are.." Vlad whispered into the night. He lunged behind the human and took a huge amount of blood from his legs. This should definitely make the human unable to interfere with the fight. Vlad was weaker than he wanted to be now at this point, but he had no other choice. He returned to Ahri and woke her up. "This isn't over yet." Vlad said with his blood stained eyes glaring into hers.

Josh wasn't epecting that and it all happened in a blur. He tried to fight it off but he couldn't, and he quickly fell, unable to stand up. Sure, he could move his legs but it wasn't easy. He began crawling away backwards, his gun up so he could shoot if the vampires came back.

Ahri looked up, having not passed out yet. She narrowed her eyes, tail lashing and managing to spray blood. She shakily stood on one leg, glaring into his bloodied red eyes with her firey amber. "No.. It's not." she agreed. Suddenly, she lunged toward Vlad, shooting out a bolt of foxfire at him. Her one leg was good enough for this task, and the blast was weaker due to her paralyzed arm. But fire shot out all around her and toward Vlad, before she dragged herself toward the shadows and weakly laid down. Just a second... I can fight in a second, I'm not finished... Just...a...second... she thought to herself with ears flat. After that he will leave me alone, he'll be dead, I'm sure of it... she told herself. She closed her eyes, breathing weakly.
Meanwhile, Vanessa had seen her sister bring shot. Already pissed off about Vlad almost killing her sister, she leapt from the woods and began to start after the vampire. Unable to catch up, she turned and decided to seek out the human. She shifted to fox form, a pure white fox with icy blue eyes, and darted to the shadows. The smell of blood was strong, and she leapt at the human with a roar. The air around her was cold as she aimed to slice his cheek with her claws, growling furiously.

She had succeeded in doing so, there was scratch marks down his cheek. He wouldn't go down without a fight. He pushed her off, grabbing her by the throat as soon as he did. He guessed she was young. He held her to the floor for a minute, choking her so she would barely be able to breath, but there was a loose spot in his grip. He went to grab his gun with his other hand.

Vanessa was surprised. Being young, yes, and more inexperienced, she was surprised by his sudden strength and was pinned down. She gagged and struggled, shifting to human form. Her human form was normal, all but her fox ears and tail forever remaining. Shifters naturally could never shift to full human; it was impossible. She whimpered and relaxed, trying to think things out. How could she work this out so that she didn't die? Her eyes flashed as she tried to kick him away, desperate now. Jumping into this so suddenly had been a foolish move!

Vlad took one of the balls of energy from her foxfire to the chest, knocking the air out of him. He managed to dodge the other two, now it was a challenge to stand up straight anymore. Vlad was getting tired of this playing around stuff, he needed this to end. Vlad tensed up at the thought of his true power, but decided to do it. He took a deep breath, in preparation for the attack. He held in that breath and closed his eyes, then his eyes darted open with fire the color of blood coming out of them. The sky turned dark, the longer Vlad held in his breath, the darker the sky got and the brighter the flames burned. After about a minute of preparation, Vlad let out his breath. Letting it out in a whisper form, and under his breath said "this is your end". After his lungs were empty, a bright red pool of blood appeared on the ground, everywhere but where Vlad was standing was covered, and once you're in it, you can't get out. He saw that the fox was already standing in it, and he knew that this was it. The pool just stood there and the forest grew quiet for about 5 minutes. "This is what I had to resort to, this isn't going to end well for you." the vampire said with a sad expression. He then opened his eyes as wide as they could go, then a bright light emitted from the pool. A very large explosion followed after that, which rang throughout the entire forest. The entire ground shook, more so than the largest of earthquakes. Once the light died down, there was no sign of forest anywhere, just a dry and burnt wasteland which was once filled with trees taller than skyscrapers. He caught a glimpse of Ahri after, and wondered what that could have done. He wanted to render her useless, he really hoped that it didn't kill her. But even if it did, no one has ever been able to survive that attack, it was Vlad's true power. He had hope for the fox though, because he knows that she is strong. Just how much is too much for her though? Vlad will have to wait and see.

The silence lasted for a bit too long. Ahri opened her eyes and stared at Vlad, wondering what this thing under her was going to do. "Uh..." she muttered. She laid her head down, taking a breath... and that was when it happened. The explosion blasted her way back into the cave, slamming her against the back wall. Her breathing was ragged, and she felt almost light. It felt as if a cold water was seeping over her and swirling all around her. Her bleeding was accompanied by blood burns from the explosion. As the darkness closed in, she could have sworn she saw a shadowy figure coming towards her.
Ahri awoke in a dark, red room. She blinked, amber eyes glowing unnaturally. "Where the hell am I...?" she whispered. She glanced around, seeing shadows from the corner of her eye move around and vanish. She flicked her tails, eyes narrowed. "Am I dead?" she said aloud. She looked around to see her father, and gasped. The dark kitsune male stared at his daughter, his tail flicking.
"No... not yet. You need to escape the vampire at all costs. I doubt he wil kill you--but he might torture you for his extreme hatred. Ahri.. you MUST escape!" he growled. Ahri gasped and nodded. She blinked and it went dark again...
Ahri awoke, but did not open her eyes. She flicked her ear, once, twice, and really did not know what to expect...
