The sunset was hidden. Just..hidden. Not by the shady trees of Redwoods; no, not even that could hide such a sunset. What could, however, was the terrifying brewing storm. The rolling thunder seemed to shake the land to its core. Rain pelted the grounds, forming deep puddles of water almost black in appearance. From the depths of the storm emerged a beast, one so terrifying that many trembled in his wake.
Or, would really. If they actually gave a damn. Loki snickered at the thought; he indeed was that beast, however every other resident of the forest was one. He was no exception; he, in fact, was as violent as they came. At the moment he walked casually along, as if it wasn't storming all hell overhead. The werewolf glanced around, electric blue eyes glowing brightly. "Hmm... it's great to be back. Now maybe I can make some progress." he mused to himself. Ah yes; many said he was insane, almost always conversing with himself. Well, he was the only one he'd ever had. No family or friends trusted him enough not to snap. He was very unstable, and he knew it. A force of chaos, Loki regarded himself. Which was fine, but the lack of purpose was not.
So, why not just give himself a purpose then? The war was now in full blast, and it was time to emerge from hiding for good. Loki relished the reaction of his old pack when he saw them. Would they tear him apart? Would he tear them apart? Loki shrugged as lightning flickered through his long hair. He'd just have to find out.

Maya sat perched on a tree branch, her piercing blue eyes taking in the storm around her. Her clothes, which she hardly wore any, anyways, were clinging to her athletic body, the white t-shirt, cut at the middle to show her muscled abdomen, and black shorts soaked. Her black hair stuck to her skull and draped down her back in a thick, wet curtain. The dark red, fingerless gloves on her hands were wet too, but she never took them off. She'd worn them since she started fighting. She was now ranked the highest in her MMA class and completed everything there is to really know about mixed martial arts. They wanted her to stay and to teach, but that wasn't her forte. Now that she had the knowledge, it was time to put it to work. Maya hopped down off the branch, landing silently on the ground. Thank God she only wore black combat boots, or else her feet would be soaked. Her long, slim legs carried her deeper and deeper into the forest, until through the rain, she picked up a scent. A scent simliar to what she was. Her head whipped around, and through the dense rain, and forest, she caught the small glow of electric blue hair. Her eyes narrowed.
There was something else about the smell. Within it, it held hatred, anger, and violence. A low growl rolled around in her throat, muffled out by the sound of thunder ripping through the sky. Maya decided, against her better judgement, to check out this guy. With ease, she took to the trees, making her way into the density of them, before moving tree to tree across the branch. She was silent. Not a leaf rustling, or a branch creaking. Her steps were careful and well placed. Giving her an advantage. Finally, she stood about ten feet from the guy, and seven feet above him. She crouched, one hand on the branch, the other at her hip. She didn't carry weapons, it was in case he attacked her. She was superbly fast, and had incredible instincts. She felt a different power coming from this guy, so she was even more on edge. Something was different about him and it was throwing her off. Vibes can tell a lot about a person, and you're sure not putting off a good one. she said, her voice confident, and her eyes backing it up. No matter how much he threw her off, she still wasn't scared of him. Why should she be?

Loki paused as a smooth female voice hit his ears. he tilted his head, blue eyes glowing as the rain pelted against his flashing hair. Without turning, the werewolf slowly grinned. "Hmmm... bad vibes. I tend to appear very corrupt to others. Perhaps that is because it is true." he responded, a crackle of light running from his hair down to his soaked blue sneakers. He sniffed the air, blue eyes flashing slightly. Suddenly, he turned, facing her with a smirk. "Although, you don't seem to be a delicate flower either." he commented.
He studied this girl; she seemed to be as full of hate, if not more so, than he. Loki had been raised from the beginning to go for the throat, trust no one, and fight all. She however seemed to have centered hatred, if not for one person but for one type of person. It was much more focused than Loki's widespread need for violence. Which was interesting; it sparked curiosity, to say the least. His smirk didn't fade as silence stretched for what was only seconds but seemed like hours. "What brings you to this lovely forest?" he asked. He hadn't been here for years; she could live here, or be new. Either case, he wanted to determine if she was a threat to take seriously.
